How it all started...

One message was enough... "We are looking to design a high-end knife block for kitchens with a combination of stone preferably concrete look and timber or possibly some sheet metal but don't want to overcomplicate it. We want it to have an earthy industrial feel as most knife block sets are currently just timber. It would need to hold at least 6 knife pieces. The block is usually counted as one piece. The attached photos are just a few sample designs only and the drink coaster has an exposed concrete look we could use."

How it went...

Upon receiving the client's request for a high-end kitchen knife block, we were excited to embark on a design journey. We brainstormed various concepts and after careful consideration, we shortlisted three standout ideas. These concepts incorporated elements such as concrete-like stone, timber, and sheet metal, creating an earthy industrial feel. Through collaboration and refinement, we finally arrived at the perfect design - an exquisite knife block that combines luxurious marble with warm wood. This unique creation not only meets the client's requirements but also elevates the standard of kitchenware design.
